Drake is being sued by a woman who says she is the rapper’s ex-girlfriend. The woman, Ericka Lee, claims she was wrongfully excluded from sharing co-writer royalties for the track “Marvin’s Room.”
.

Lee filed papers last week in Los Angeles that allege that she and Drake had a romantic and business relationship between early 2010 and mid-2011. Lee’s suit says that the couple exchanged lyrics and poems during that time and that she and Drake agreed to co-write “Marvin’s Room” and split the earnings. Drake reportedly offered her two percent of the publishing royalties for the song, and later raising the offer to four to five percent along with a $50,000 settlement. Lee’s current suit asks for a co-writing credit as well as undisclosed damages.

Drake Says He Was “Tackled By A Tiger” In South Africa

Published: Jan 29, 2012 by admin   Filed under: News   Views: 215

Drake’s Club Paradise Tour may not officially start until next month but he’s been keeping busy lately by making selected appearances in the U.S. and overseas — and he recently revealed that he was tackled by a tiger during a safari in South Africa back in December.

.
“Africa was amazing, man. Africa was amazing because I went, like, OK, I’m gonna have to do Rihanna ‘What’s My Name,’ I’m gonna have to do ‘Bedrock,’ I’m gonna have to do ‘Every Girl,’ ” Drake told MTV News when asked about his set list for these dates. “I went out there and I did the music that I thought they wanted to hear and all they were screaming was, like, they wanted to hear Take Care. They wanted to hear the new stuff.”
.
Drake – “Best I Ever Had”
.
Drake apparently didn’t plan on the fact that the crowd would be as into his solo material as they were his collaborations with artists like Rihanna and Lil Wayne, however he admits he was happily surprised by their reaction. “I started performing the new stuff and they knew it word for word,” he said. “It was incredible. It was like 5,000 people.”
.
He also went on to nonchalantly add, “I went on a safari — I got tackled by a tiger. It was crazy!” Just another day in the life of Drizzy we suppose. If you need to get your fix, tune into Drake Radio… and don’t worry, we promise no wild animals will attack you while you’re rocking out.

Drake Considers The Weeknd To Be “Family”

Published: Jan 19, 2012 by admin   Filed under: News   Views: 164

The Weeknd is one of the most enigmatic singer/songwriters around right now — and despite the fact that he released three free albums last year he’s only done a handful of interviews to date.

.
However The Weeknd is no stranger to Drake and Noah “40″ Shebib who recently gave MTV News some insight into the songwriter whose real name is Abel Tesfaye. “Weeknd is obviously someone very close to us and our family. He’s from Toronto and someone we’ve been associated with and working with for quite some time,” Shebib said back in November.
.
“So that’s close to home, that’s easy. He’s in and out of the studio whatever the case is — that’s family,” he continued. If you want to catch Weeknd live you’ll be able to see him at the upcoming Coachella festival, which will be many fans’ first glimpse of the musician who makes two definitive appearances on Drake’s Take Care.

True to form not even Shebib could give us a hint about what the Weeknd has planned for 2012. “He’s not interested in playing the game right now,” Shebib explained. “He wants to put out his music, and I think when he’s finished putting out his music, he’ll reassess his feelings on the game.”
.
